Determining the key triggering factors is an important step for landslide stability assessment. Research on key triggering factor of landslides is needed for the estimation of slope stability. In this paper, GIS is used to study the features of landslides in Zhuhai city• The susceptibility of landslide triggering factors is analyzed by means of the slope certainty factors (CF for short). After certainty factors overlap, number interval used in forecasting landslide has been established. Statistic analysis shows that the model is reliable to explain most of the landslides in Zhuhai city• The results show that the presented method is useful...
